Our Christ-honoring martial arts program holds to the Scriptures as our foundational code of conduct, and we have tenets that reflect this moral compass.
Our Tenets Include
We are to live our lives:
Respectfully - to live in a respectful manner towards God, parents, siblings, and others.
"Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour." (Romans 13:7)
Humbly - always be humble. You cannot do anything without Jesus.
"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" (Micah 6:8)
Self-disciplined - never let your desires control you. Discipline yourself.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (23) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23)
Honorably - to live in a way that will not bring reproach on your instructor, the Warriors of the Sword, or most importantly, Jesus Christ.
"Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:" (2 Corinthians 6:3)
Courageously - true courage comes from God and causes those who are courageous to "do the right thing" even when it is not popular.
"Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest." (Joshua 1:7)
